Before the 16th the level of the last boss in hard mode in area 12 21-4 was 389. However if you are saying that you cleared them all no problem before the 16th, then yes, I can totally believe you, that is what we are complaining about, the spike in difficulty since the 16th patch is insane. Sorry, but if you expect me to believe that you either started playing after the patch and have cleared all the way to Blackguard difficulty (in other words cleared all stages 3 times over leveling your characters high enough to actually make it through hard as well) and you only spent a dollar, I'm gonna call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, because there is no actual way you could have earned the XP in the 4 days the patch had been live until your post. Thats my opinion, You can have yours that is different.
